Chambal Fertilisers & Chemicals, part of K K Birla group, jumped 15.50% to Rs 49.55 and it topped gainers in BSE's A group shares. Recently, Chambal Fertilisers' Singapore-based subsidiary Chambal Biotech sold its entire holding in Australia's Technico to Russell credit, Kolkata.

Siemens, which provides industrial solutions, moved up 9.17% to Rs 1,231.30. It was the second biggest gainer in A group. Recently, the parent firm, Siemens AG, Germany affirmed that Siemens group is looking at doubling its sales in India in the next three years by focussing on healthcare, infrastructure and energy.

Moser Baer (India), manufacturer of storage media, went up 6.47% to Rs 265.65 and came third among top gainers in A group.

Rashtriya Chemicals & Fertilisers, in which government owns 92%, hopped up 5.14% to Rs 49.05. It ranked fourth among top gainers in A group.

National Fertilizers, India's second largest producers of nitrogenous fertilizers, rose 5.07% to Rs 34.20. It was the fifth biggest gainer in A group.
