Wipro is in talks to acquire US-based company Infocrossing, according to sources. The Wipro-Infocrossing deal is likely to be worth around USD 450-500 million they said.
Infocrossing, which is a Nasdaq-listed company, is an outsourcing solutions company. The company's FY06 revenues stood at USD 229 million.
According to sources, the talks are at an advanced stage. However, when contacted, Wipro said, "we do not comment on market speculation."
Infocrossing's businesses include IT infrastructure outsourcing, Healthcare IT and BPO solutions. It also provides managed services and enterprise application services. The US company's FY06 net profit stood at USD 8.4 million.
